Lyme Disease
Lyme Disease, first recognized in Lyme, Connecticut in 1975, is becoming more and more common. Having now been found in most parts of the country, the number of reported cases continues to increase each year.
Lyme Disease is caused by bacteria that can be transmitted by the bite of certain kinds of ticks. Because Lyme Disease can lead to serious complications if it goes untreated, it is important to understand the development of the disease so that preventative measures can be taken and proper treatment obtained if necessary
