Motels

Motels (Rooming Units) are inspected on an annual basis to ensure compliance with the Central CT Health District Sanitary Code, Chapter 4.  There are 44 motels in the District.  Inspections focus on general sanitary conditions, insect/rodent infestations and maintenance.  The term "motel" includes motels, rooming houses, hotels and bed and breakfast operations.  Motels (rooming units) must obtain an annual license from the District to operate.

Complaints concerning the operation or condition of a motel should be directed to the Sanitarian at the appropriate District office.
