STDs rates are at record highs.  April is Sexually Transmitted Disease Awarenss month, and the Centers for Disease Control reminds us to protect our sexual health, as serious health consequences can result from neglecting it.  Follow these three steps to ensure safety for yourself and your partner(s). For your protection, condoms are available free of charge at Central Connecticut Health District's main office in Wethersfield.

Talk -  Communicate openly about Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs) and protection with your healthcare provider and sexual partner(s) to help maintain your health.

Test - Get tested. It's the only way to know for certain if you have an STD.

Treat - If you have an STD be sure to work with your provider to get the appropriate medicine.
