National Public Health Week

A Community Conversation with your local health department, Central Connecticut Health District

 

Goal:

To have an open discussion about mental health wellness; what it is, how it can improve in the district and what resources are available. 

Objectives:

  1. By the end of the event, participants will be able to broadly define public mental health wellness.

  2. By the end of the event, participants will be able to access resources available to maintain or improve mental wellness.

  3. By the end of the event, CCHD will generate a list of reasons participants believe is attributing to the increase in mental health hospitalizations and urgent care interactions, and behavioral issues in the community (e.g. schools). 

  4. By the end of the event, participants will help CCHD will generate a list of ways our health district can help in reducing the number of mental health hospitalizations and urgent care interactions, and behavioral issues in the community (e.g. schools).

  5. CCHD will provide a document summarizing the community conversation to participants, non-participant residents, and community stakeholders by April 25, 2024.

April 1, 2024 from 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm

April 18, 2024 from 11:00 am – noon

Central Connecticut Health District’s Main Office located at 2080 Silas Deane Highway, Suite 100, Rocky Hill, CT. Healthy refreshments will be served during the community conversation.
